Overview
Families should be at the center of decisions that impact them. The Parent Advisory Councils (PACs) and Youth Advisory Councils (YACs) help us make that happen. Parent & Youth Advisory Councils put leadership and decision-making power back in your hands and connect you to a broad network of systems change makers.
Vision for Children at Risk supports a Parent Advisory Council, Youth Advisory Council, and initiative based councils that bring stakeholders together. Parent and Youth Advisory Council representatives are always at the table.

Focus Areas
VCR supports Parent and Youth Advisory Councils in the St. Louis region:
- VCR PAC: The core PAC serves as a regional hub of parent advisory councils focused on the well-being of children. We strive to increase parent voice and leadership while creating avenues for policy and systems change.
- System of Care PAC: Open to all parents and caregivers with children that have severe emotional, mental, and/or behavioral health challenges.
System of Care YAC: Open to all youth that have or are at risk for severe emotional, mental, and/or behavioral challenges and are ready to step up and make a difference for others.

“Serving on the Advisory Council has greatly shaped my perspective on connecting with my generation through meaningful, solution-driven conversations. Focusing on other youth through strategic planning has been at the core of my leadership, and YAC has embodied that vision. I truly appreciate the positive impact it’s making in the generation.” – Abraham Blue
